About us

The K. Lisa Yang Centre for Autism Research at the University of Cambridge brings together multidisciplinary researchers to deepen our understanding of autism and address the challenges faced by autistic people and their families.

Building on Cambridge’s rich history of autism research, we seek to understand the diversity of autism, improve identification and diagnosis, address health inequalities, and develop and evaluate approaches that may improve quality of life.

We work closely with autistic people and their families, clinicians and other academic researchers to ensure our projects address meaningful questions and can contribute to real-world change.

As part of the Yang Tan Collective, we collaborate with the other centres at Harvard University and MIT, to develop innovative research and accelerate discovery.

Through our research, we aim to advance knowledge and build a better future for autistic people and their families.
